This lot comprises two silver objects: a personal grooming brush and a large ribbon-design brooch. The brush features a sterling silver mount decorated with high-relief repousse scrolling foliage, floral blossoms, and shell motifs typical of the late Victorian style. A central shield-shaped cartouche on the top is engraved with the interlocking monogram letters H, P, and G. Along the lower edge of the silver mount, four rectangular hallmarks are impressed; the first is the letter B, while the remaining three marks are partially obscured and illegible. The back of the brooch also features a large integrated circular loop or bail, allowing it to be worn as a pendant or sash pin.
