An unusually sophisticated vintage Couroc of Monterey zodiac tray featuring all twelve astrological signs rendered as delicate figurative metal inlays surrounding a radiant central celestial motif.
The fine linear figures have an unmistakably modern graphic quality, while the circular composition gives the tray a wonderful Space Age character. Against Couroc's glossy black ground, the metallic imagery appears almost suspended in space.
Carefully cleaned and hand-polished prior to presentation, including the intricate metal inlay, to restore its original luster while preserving the character of the vintage piece.
Retains its Couroc identification and original feet.
One of four different vintage Couroc zodiac trays currently available in my shop. Please see the final photograph for the other designs offered separately.
