832. Robert Young “Langdon Towne” period jacket from Northwest Passage. (MGM, 1940) Dark grey wool period jacket with eight buttons along front and three on cuffs trimmed in blue satin ribbon and lined in dark blue. MGM label handwritten, “Robt. Taylor 1044-3276”. Jacket has faded from a bright royal blue to grey and exhibits tiny holes overall with minor material loss overall. Originally made for Robert Taylor in the role of “Langdon Towne” but production was delayed and Robert Young took over the part and wears it when he returns home from Boston in Northwest Passage. Originally acquired at the 1970 MGM Auction.
