Beautifully delicate jade bi pendant, most likely from the Qing Dynasty (1644 to 1912 ce), with two carved lions and cloud motif on reverse. The pendant is 2 inches in diameter with 1/2 inch diameter opening strung with 8 mm epidot accented with 4 mm shell rondelles, 2 mm jasper beads, a 10 mm epidot rondelle, and tortoise seed beads with silver glass beads and sterling silver clasp. The necklace is 23 inches long without the pendant, and can be shortened if requested.

Condition

As with many antique jades, the carving appears to have been dyed to bring out rich coloration, and has been cleaned to remove superficial surface alteration from age however edge and surface wear is visible.
