CHINESE EXPORT CANTON PORCELAIN SERVING ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, comprising two covered vegetable dishes having molded finials, and one hot water plate, all decorated with blue Canton decorations having landscapes and house designs. Together with two Canton-decorated platters, broken and glued. Five pieces total. Late 19th/20th century. Hot water plate 2 7/8" H, 9 5/16" D.
Areas of glaze loss and roughness on rims of covered vegetable dishes, one 3/4" flake on side of hot water plate rim, manufacturing crack on interior of square dish, otherwise undamaged.
Provenance: De-accessioned from the Reeves Collection, Washington and Lee University, and sold to benefit the Acquisitions Fund.
