CHINESE EXPORT FITZHUGH PORCELAIN PLATTERS, LOT OF TWO, rectangular with cut corners having underglaze blue Fitzhugh-style scrollwork, flowers, and butterflies; initials "TWAC" in center within an oval polychrome enamel, gilt cartouche, and garlands. Unmarked. Late 18th century. 17 5/8" x 14 1/2".
One hairline crack on rim, otherwise undamaged with less than expected wear from use.
Provenance: De-accessioned from the Reeves Collection, Washington and Lee University, and sold to benefit the Acquisitions Fund.
