    Good, dark blue cloth over boards, with paper title labels to spines. Darkening, occasional chipping, and occasional rubbing to labels, with dimming to gilt lettering. Moderate edgewear to each volume, with bumping to corners and mild fraying to heads and tails of spines. Mild dust spotting, scattered rubbing, and cover wear to each volume. Top edges gilt. Occasional small stain to edges of text blocks. Previous owner's name to Volume II's front free endpaper. Printed tissue guarded frontispieces and tissue guarded illustrations to each volume. All bindings sound. Occasional small tear to tissue guard and occasional toning to pages, else all pages clean and unmarked. Overall, a solid set of the majority of the volumes in this collection of works of French playwright and novelist Honore de Balzac.
