Bondy p.141 "The first edition is extremely rare and even the three later editions are not easy to find. One of the most endearing features of this finely produced volume is the engraved title preceding the printed title, showing Nargileh water pipes, tobacco plants and, in the centre scales weighted on one side by a crown and on the other counterbalancing it a smoking pipe. The volume is dedicated 'to all true smokers of every land and clime'" ; Spielmann 183; Welsh 3214.
