Seated, gilt bronze Buddha from the 18th - 19th century. The Buddha is sitting in double lotus pose atop a lotus form base. His hands are together in his lap in the Dhyana Mudra for meditation. The Buddha has a robe hanging off one shoulder and is adorned with jewelry. His two earlobes have large hoop rings and his ushnisha is highly decorated and tall. The face has downcast eyes and a serene look. The bottom is incised with a 4 pointed vajra.
Dimensions are 3 5/8 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches high. All measurements are approximate.
