Details: Vintage Sack-back Windsor style armchair.
This handsome arm chair measures 45" tall by 24 1/2" wide by approx. 20" deep. Generally consistent in appearance to Windsor Sack-back chairs popular in New York City circa 1780's. This particular chair's age and maker are uncomfirmed. Label is illegible under chair. Some unidentified pencil written names appear under seat. Made of solid wood, (possibly hickory, maple and/or poplar).
This lot is from the estate of a very well-known and well-respected lifetime Civil War collector in Upstate New York.
