This poster was designed by John Van Hamersveld-one of the people who helped form the Southern California psychedelic scene. Van Hamersveld was a founding partner in the Pinnacle Production Company, which was one of the first organizations to put on rock concerts and dances in the Los Angeles area. Most of these Pinnacle shows were held at the Shrine Auditorium and the early posters created for these shows are now highly sought after. This famous poster was printed twice with this being from the second printing, which was printed shortly after the show.
