A Greek terracotta figurine depicting a seated musician, perhaps the Muse Erato, c. 3rd – 2nd Century BC, wearing a long chiton, sitting and playing a kithara which she supports on her lap. A small togate figure stands at her side. H: 4 ¾ in (12.1cm). An interesting figure with remnants of gesso and light deposits. Ex collection of John Hibner, acquired during his military service in Turkey in the 1960's.
