Giovanni Battista Piranesi (Italian, 1720-1778) Reliefs and Inscriptions. Three etchings; plates XIII, XXXV, and XLIX of "Le Antichita Romane", Tome II, 1756. Reference: Focillon 235, 257, and 271 Largest sight: 16.5" x 20" Frame: 25.25" x 29.5"
The sheets are glued down with the mats partially glued on top. They were most likely framed in the 1930's. They all have the original vertical centerfold, and with wide margins. The impressions are very fine indicating Roman editions, however, we cannot confirm a watermark. Only one was removed from the frame but they are all identical
