A QUEEN ANNE OAK AND BLACK WALNUT VENEERED CHEST ON STAND, 18TH CENTURY AND LATER, ENGLISH, the rectangular top of bookmatched veneer within a chevron inlaid edge, over two like inlaid short drawers, above three inlaid graduating long drawers, within bead carved stiles and rails, surmounting a base with a central short drawer, flanked by two short drawers, over a dramatic arched, serpentine skirt, now raised on splayed bracket feet. Some buckling and wear to the veneer, surface scratches, darkened areas, filled wood and paste repairs, interior repairs and replaced wood, top veneer relaid to new board and molding added later, original legs removed and bracket feet added later, hardware added later, overall in good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
