A late 19 th century Tambour Front Sewing Box with a drawer. The sliding tambour front is variegated strips of wood and the box (or small cabinet) retains its original finish. Behind the sliding front are 2 shelves that slide in and out: one has metal posts to hold spools of thread, the lower one has a pincushion and 2 posts for thimbles (some spools and thimbles included). The box is in very fine condition: the tambour front slides easily and other than some minor bumps and one little split at the upper left corner, the piece is without damage. Someone punched a hole in the back so it could be hung on the wall. It measures 8 1/8” x 5” x 8 ¾” (high). One of the nicest sewing cabinets I have seen.Domestic: Flat-rate of $25.00 to anywhere within the contiguous U.S.International: Foreign shipping rates are determined by destination.Combined shipping: Please ask about combined shipping for multiple lots before bidding.Location: This item ships from Pennsylvania
