VICTORIAN BROADSWORD. 1) INDIAN STYLE PIPE TOMAHAWK. Tomahawk measures 20 5/8" x 7 1/4". Iron head features a bladed edge w/ a pipe bowl on the other end. 1 Face of the tomahawk appears to have a mark that reads "500 / TEE". There is a metal collar below the head likely for stability. Wooden haft shows wear & has a sm. metal collar 2 1/2" back from the tip. Tomahawk has a leather sheath created from repurposed leather w/ rivet & sewn construction. Although this pipe tomahawk appears to show great age, we feel it is a quality reproduction likely made by a reenactor. CONDITION: tomahawk shows moderate wear throughout. Leather has lost its belt loops but remains substantially solid. 2) BEADED BELT KNIFE. A nice original knife measuring 10 1/4" w/ a 5" blade. Blade is possibly made from a cut down & shaped file. Iron ferrule w/ wood handle, possibly oak. Scabbard has sm. glass bead Indian style decoration on the outside. Sheath is rawhide w/ a finished leather belt loop. There is a 20th century button w/ an Indian motif tied to the belt loop. CONDITION: knife shows significant age w/ heavy full length cracks in the handle. Bead decoration is 90% complete. Leather shows significant wear. 3) REPRO SHEFFIELD BOWIE. Overall length: 14 5/8". Blade length: 9 3/4". Heavy bowie style blade is marked "JAMES & LOWE SHEFFIELD" at the ricasso. There is an American eagle near the spine of the blade. German silver crossguard, ferrule & horse head pommel. Stag handle grip. CONDITION: blade has a gray heavily cleaned finish. Hilt shows light wear. No scabbard. 4) SIDE KNIFE. Overall length: 9 3/4". Blade length: 5 7/8". Blade has a partially visible mark that reads "_ _ _ _ _ CO _ _ _ _ GEPORT CONN No 501". 2 Piece simulated antler grip w/ 3 copper pins. Brass crossguard. CONDITION: blade has a gray cleaned mottled finish & shows evidence of sharpening. Grips show moderate wear w/ minor losses. No scabbard. 5) FASCINE KNIFE. Overall length: 15 3/4". Blade length: 9 1/2". Knife has a lg. wide blade w/ central hole likely for hanging. There are 8 serrations on the false edge. Top edge is sharpened after the serrations. Iron ferrule. 1 Piece wood grip. CONDITION: blade has a light gray mottled patina w/ evidence of sharpening to both edges. Grip shows no wear & may be a replacement. No scabbard. (02-10547(5)/BF). 6) 18TH CENTURY CUIRASS. Cuirass measures approx. 16" x 14 3/4". It has a heavy iron body w/ 2 brass suspension studs 6" down from the top & a raised medial ridge. The entire edge of the cuirass has a brass border w/ brass rivets. Rivets have the remains of natural cotton cloth tape on the inside. CONDITION: iron has a medium gray mottled patina on the outside & a dark oxidized patina on the inside. Brass has a very deep brown patina. There are no deep proving marks or dents, however cuirass does have a few minor dents & pock marks. 7) VICTORIAN BROADSWORD COPY. Victorian broadsword has an overall length of 36 1/2". Blade length: 30". Plain blade w/ a shallow central fuller & a rounded tip. Simple iron bar crossguard & disk pommel. Grip appears to be leather wrapped over a wooden core. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray mottled patina as do other iron parts. Grip has been painted black some time ago. Leather covering is 70% complete. No scabbard. (02-10550(2)/BF). $700-1200 for lot.
