A FIVE PIECE REED & BARTON SILVER PLATED TEA SERVICE, TAUNTON, MASSACHUSETTS, 1913 AND LATER, in a Rococo Revival style pattern of oval form featuring floral and vine scrolls within conforming panels and gilt interior comprising three pieces with engraved date "Dec. 25, 1913" and stamped "MF'D & PLATED BY, REED & BARTON, 3632, PATENT APPLIED FOR, GILT" including a sugar bowl and cover with urn form finial, height: 6 1/8", width: 8 1/8", depth: 4 1/2"; a cream jug with "D" shape handle, height: 5 1/8", width: 6", depth: 4"; and an open waste bowl, height: 4", width: 5 1/4", depth: 4 3/8"; together with two pieces in the same pattern without engraved date and without gilt interiors comprising a teapot with hinged lid with urn form finial and "D" shape handle with insulators, height: 9 5/8", width: 9 3/4", depth: 4 3/4"; and a hot water kettle with hinged lid with urn form finial and top mounted handle with insulators, the sides with projecting stand rests, bracketed stand with circular opening raised on four squat bun feet, and a squat circular oil lamp form spirit burner with hinged lid fitted with handle and cast handle on the side, overall height: 13 3/4", width: 9 1/4", depth: 6 3/4".
In overall fair condition, the three gilt lined pieces with significant wear and loss to gilding, dents to sides, surface rubbing and minor loss to plating to all pieces.
