Q-036 Lot of material related to U.S. WWI "doughboy" Louis LaChat, a member of the 52nd Infantry Regiment. Includes: (1) Pay book with entries. (2) Facsimile letter from King George to all American soldiers who arrived in the British Isles in 1918. (3) Embroidered 6th Division patch - uncut. (4) Booklets - "GREETINGS FROM THE 52ND U.S. INFANTRY" - 1917, "KHAKI AND BLUE", "Liberty Loan" cartoon booklet, "KEEP THE FAITH" and "FLAGS OF FREEDOM". (5) 11" X 17" 48-star flag carried by LaChat. Bottom white stripe has inked in "NOVEMBER 7, 1918 PEACE SIGNED BY KAISER WILLIAM - NOVEMBER 7, 1918". (6) Period embroidered "VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS" jacket insignia and same but a smaller version which was cut from an o'seas cap with "ISLIP, N.Y.". II
