Made in France in the late 1920's early 1930's this nightlight or desk light is most likely an unsigned Muller ,two brother whose work was eagerly sought after with many chandeliers and art glass pieces . The crash of 1929 had a crippling effect on the business however, and in 1936 the Muller Freres studios finally closed its doors for the last time. Metal mounting with silver plating ( oxidized ), original glass shade , rewired with American socket .It is the last time in France that it was possible to produce and offer brass pieces of this quality , the mass production of the 1950's was just around the corner and turned the page on small atelier to open the age of cost saving .
