A rare, 18th century sino-japanese woodblock print of Samurai bound in the fukurotoji style. This is set was authored by Tachibana Morikuni (1679–1748) and block cut by Yoshida Goroemon and is depicting the lives of Samurai warriors in ancient Japan through story. Written in column format with furigana, phonetic characters, to help commoners read the difficult Kanji, Chinese characters of meaning.



This rare, 18th century Samurai woodblock print includes 14 in-text and full-page illustrations!
