(Columbia, 2002) Original Phil Jimenez artwork featuring 29 pages of Spider-Man, seven in color, accomplished in ink and colored marker in an 8 ½ x 11 in. spiral bound notebook. The realistic and richly-detailed artwork shows Spider-Man in various action poses, descending from and shooting his trademark web, as well as close-up detail sketches of the head and shoulders. Tobey Maguire, in his role as “Peter Parker”, is shown in his bedroom furiously drawing various designs and the sketches in the notebook were actually being drawn by his hand double, comic artist Phil Jimenez, on screen in the film. Tobey Maguire finished the drawings on screen but during editing, they cut some of the scene, so you only see him with his colored pens working on, but not completing, the drawings.
