1268. U.S.S. Enterprise 1701 Impulse Engine Miniature from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. (Paramount, 1984) Constructed of sculpted wood and resin, and distressed with burn marks, this is the impulse engine on the saucer section of the U.S.S. Enterprise ship. It was part of the special effects miniature used for the self-destruct sequence in the film. Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) originally built the filming miniature, and this prop could possibly be the only surviving piece of that special effects model. Measures 9 in. x 5 in.
