1356. Hero Illuminating Exocomp Tool/Atmospheric Sensor Device from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Voyager. (Paramount-TV, 1987-94, 1995-2001) Cast resin painted metallic brown with an aluminum base, acrylic tips and rubber accents. The lights at the tips are activated with a pushbutton trigger located toward the base. First seen in the TNG episode, "The Quality of Life," as an Exocomp tool. Later modified with the addition of a base ring, it was used as a Sikarian atmospheric sensor device in the Voyager episode, "Prime Factors." Built by Makeup & Effects Lab and measures 10 in. long.
