1401. Neelix medical device from Star Trek: Voyager. (Paramount-TV, 1995-2001) Neelix medical device constructed from a hollow cast resin block and a circular resin disk connected by flexible black ribbed tubing. The block is gray with two flashing red LED lights operated by a sliding switch and the circular disk is black with a brass etched circuit board design on the face. A pushbutton switch operates two flashing yellow LED lights behind the etched brass material. The device is applied to Ethan Phillips "Neelix's" forehead and cheek in the episode, "Mortal Coil." It supplies neural electric isopulses which revives him after being dead for 18 hours. The circular part of the device was originally built by Makeup & Effects Lab and the square part of the device was originally built by Independent Studio Services. Measures 1 ½ in. x 7 ½ in.
