12mo. (136 x 190 mm). Six mounted albumen cartes de visite, six hand-colored plates, and engraved Edward Everett facsimile letter. Gilt green cloth boards, 64pp. Provenance: Charles F. Cox (bookplate); Edward Swan Stickney (presentation bookplate to:) Chicago Historical Society (perforated stamp on title-page and bookplate).

FIRST EDITION. Contains biographies, photographic portraits, and lithographs of the homes of the last surviving Revolutionary War veterans still alive during the 1860s, including Samuel Downing, Daniel Waldo, Lemuel Cook, Alexander Millener, William Hutchings, and Adam Link.
Condition
Small water stain on several pages near lower portion of spine. Minor areas of foxing scattered throughout. Toning to CDVs. Splotches on Samuel Downing carte. Small smudge on first page of Everett's facsimile letter. With few interior penciled notations.
