Description
Octagonal Damascus barrel with diminutive blade front sight and simple notch rear, threaded to feed into receiver. Birmingham proofs under diminutive schnabel tip forearm retained by a single key. Microgroove rifling. Frame engraving with pheasants in a meadow scene on both sides. Turning breech controlled by underlever with added gas shield on left side. Swivel breech with four holes for use with a special primer or fulminate disc. Top of swivel breech and tang engraved with well done English scroll. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling and darkness in grooves. EW Barrel Length: 31 - 3/4" Caliber/Bore: .50 Rifled FFL Status: Antique Manufacturer: Conway Model: Breechloading Rifle Serial Number: NSN

CORRECTION: Wood has normal bumps and bruises throughout from use; there is a small grain separation in front of the cock.
