Antique cast iron "barnacle eye" rooster windmill weight from Elgin Windpower & Pump Co. Elgin, IL, circa 1900. Weight measures 18-1/2" x 18-1/2" and is mounted to a wooden block for display.

Made by Dempster Manufacturing Co., Des Moines, Iowa, ca. 1900, cast iron. "Boss" standing bull with traces of original red paint. 16"h. 20"l. including base.

In good condition, no markings, I-Beam bottom, factory hole in tail, mounted on wood stand, 19"x18" just the rooster, rated 8.5
