Almost afraid to bid, there were so many stipulations on the sale. This auctioneer has a past with being difficult, in my experience. He once tried to charge me sales tax even though my items were being shipped from Connecticut to Georgia, where clearly he has no presence. Very reluctant to deal with this auction house.

I am not sure what the complaint is here. Our terms and conditions are not more onerous than any other auction houses, and it is possible that our system generated an invoice with sales tax on an out of state sale, but that is our default setting and apart from some slight inconvenience I am sure that the sales tax issue was corrected as soon as any question was pointed out. However, since this is an anonymous posting I cannot check our records to review more fully. We make every effort to be careful and straightforward in all our dealings and the balance of our feedback clearly supports that. Tom Schwenke, Auctioneer

Item descriptions could have provided more information.

Since the date of this post the standard for most auction descriptions has shifted clearly in the direction of less description. In 2015, however, we had fairly lengthy and informative lot descriptions, so without any more specificity about any lots or descriptions in question I cannot be any more explanatory in this response.
