I paid 25.00 shipping charges to Klein James. USPS. It arrived broken, not a chip but broken. I asked for their help and was told it was my responsibility to file the claim. Was surprised. So was the USPS. David .

This was not my first experience with Klein James. I could not be happier with both buying and selling through them.

Klein James Auction was superb. Was not impressed with Seattle's UPS Pickup, Pack & Ship. One wanted me to fax a signed permission to charge services to my credit card. They also would not accept a phone call without 'Caller ID'. I cancelled my shipping request. The other UPS Services was requested to use USPS as a preferred Carrier. They used UPS and on arrival of the item I was charged a 42 dollar Broker's Fee which is their Canadian Counterpart's 'rip-off' procedure. With USPS it would have been 9 dollars. Yes I'lll use Klein James Auctions again but I'll search out a more favorable pack and ship. I've never had a problem with any of your registered auction houses. I do pay the Invoice on receipt but don't expect 'white-glove' service. Being an ardent collector having spent countless hours at auctions, I'm aware of the work involved. As long as they maintain the security of my credit card and on the eventual arrival of the item, it proves to be as advertised... I'm a happy client. In my city there's only one auction containing antiques and in my Country and your Catalog most Houses do Asian and the only Asian I do is 'Japanese'. Your service gives me the opportunity to come-in-from-the-cold.... I sincerely appreciate it.

First experience bidding online besides Ebay. I actually overbid myself up by $20 because there's no way of knowing if it's your standing bid or someone else with the same bid amount. Still, it's all a learning experience. Won't do that again. In-house shipping was fairly priced for the item I bought and a reasonable ship time. Would consider doing business again with you guys. Had to sign a credit card statement, before them would process the art work. Never had to do this before with any purchase from an auction house. The packing was outstanding.

Very positive experience. I picked my items up in person. Auction house was very pleasant, provided detailed information and staff was extremely helpful.

Shipping the item took forever and went four days past the promised date of delivery. Understand the shipper is not part of the auction house and the shipper had truck problems. However, the item once packed was promised for a Saturday delivery and arrived on the following Tuesday.

I have done business with them before and have no complaints they are very professional even when leaving absentee bids I have been able to purchase for way less. Other auction houses mysteriously seem to come up to whatever my bid was even if there were no other buyers.

This auction house is very honest and a pleasure to work with.

One feels at the mercy of the local shippers, but my item was well packed and arrived safely.

The piece I purchased was described as a carved totem pole, but when I received it, it turned out to be a cast copy in resien... Expensive at $260.00!
