The description of the lot of buttons was inaccurate but lesson learned and I will be more careful next time! Also need to have more and better pictures of auction items!

shipping took to long. I received numerous other items that were purchased at auctions after this one.

One my 1 ` st item with this A H last month. When winnings arrived not at all what was described in the auction write up. Sent 3 emails to said A H and got ZERO response. May call on phone or even stop by actual A H as I ` ll be in area next week. Would like n explanation about this auction but as I said gettting nowhere so far. If continues will surely pass my experiences on to fellow collectors.

I am in the process of returning the lot I purchased. Therefore, I do not want to answer any questions until I receive a full refund.

Saco River needs to do a better job with their customer service, Not the 1st time I've requested more photos and/or info and I get zero response. That hurts their image, it lessens my bidding, which means less money for the consignor and them. I will still bid (for now) if the item is clear, but if not I probably won't bid, and because of this I would never consign or recommend anyone to them to consign, and I've consigned at every major auction house and be asked my opinion by several collectors who to go with. I'm glad I got this survey I just hope they get this and rather then get offended take the criticism and work to fix it. That's all I want, and should be what they want. More money and good service makes everyone happy.

Worst experience I have ever had in dealing with an auction house and it has caused me to question whether I will ever buy again through liveauctioneers. Saco sold counterfeit items (likely knowingly) and make zero apologies for doing so-any reputable auction house will stand behind the authenticity of historical goods-not these guys. I'd like to hear from Live Auctioneers what you are going to do about this-**********

Nice auction house-a bit under the radar being in Maine, but well managed and organized.

Shipping charges are outrageous! Will not attend this Auction again!! I bid on 5 auctions a week!! Mone of the most expensive!! For a $10 mailing they tried to get $50-OUTRAGEOUS

Poor communication. Difficulty finding out how to pay. Finally got an answer. Paid. Still have not received the item. Have heard nothing. Will not use this service again.

The fur coat I purchased was in terrible shape. The auction description only detailed damage to the lining, which is easily fixable. However, they neglected to mention all the tears and holes that were in the actual skins of the coat, which is very costly to repair if even possible. I wrote to them to request a return, and they admonished me for not reaching out before the auction, and then did not even reply to my second email. I do not normally complain about things, and never return items, but this was a very disappointing experience and I would never purchase something from them in the future.

They generally do terrible photos and truly minimal descriptions. However, they are very nice people and easy to work with.

Payment process was unclear on the Liveauctioneers site-I kept trying to find a way to pay via your site and couldn't, and there was no indication how I would pay or be billed (I thought the invoice would come from Liveauctioneers on your site). Being able to use Paypal was great. Fortunately Saco River Auction was extremely responsive to all my email and phone call queries, and staff there even helped carry my purchases out to my car.

One piece had damage that should have been mentioned. Not too bad. Flaking on bottom of piece and tiny crack. Shipping was higher than other auction sites I'm associated with.

The whole experience was a night mare!

Shipping costs and costs to the auction house seems to be a little high. By the time you pay for your items, I could have bought it right down the street at the antique shop for the same price!!! Or a little less

I've been impressed with Saco in general. They offer quality items, their photos and descriptions are very helpful, and their shipping is extremely quick.

I picked up the item, no shipping involved.

My experience with Saco River has always been excellent.

When shipping internationally, the value of goods shipped is not reflected in what was bidded. Collectables can be valued within such a wide range. If items could have been won with the starting bid, perhaps that should be claimed when shipping internationally to avoid customs charges.

I emailed auctioneer 4 days before auction asking "what type of wood is the bookcase" his response: Subject: Lot 90B, what type of wood is... Hi Bobby, This unit is very heavy and solid. It is made of Walnut. Thank You Jeff Saco River Auction Co. It is a man made product. I'm very disappointed. I have not contacted Saco River as I just received my shipment today. I will have to consider if I want to trust the auctioneers judgement when he is asked a direct question days in advance. Thanks for asking for feed back. I understand this is all about the Internet bidding; but I refuse to do business with anyone that over inflate s/h charges and knowingly give false information when asked directly. Bobby **********

I was totally delighted with this experience. The auction house was extremely prompt and answered all my questions. The auction itself went without a hitch. Shipping was handled exactly as I had hoped, very reasonable packing/handling/shipping charges, and I greatly appreciated being able to have my small package mailed instead of having to use UPS (with danger of loss). 110 % pleased in every way.
