I used auction house for great item, a framed art piece-be it small 10-16 "but 3rd party ship for profit cost $65-house should ship in-house and protect overcharged fees.

I was satisfied with the way the auction went and the price I got my item for, but when it came time to ship my item to my FFL they tried to charge me $95 to ship. When I complained, they dropped to $55, which is still about $10 more than I usually pay, but I agreed to that amount.

Buyer's Premium & Credit Card fees may sting a bit, and be aware that you have to arrange shipping through their preferred company in advance. Their shipping company has some policies that might seem expensive at first, but they will absolutely work with you to trim those costs down. They are willing to ship via your preferred method, as well. In my case, I have my own insurance coverage when using FedEx, so swapping to them and going ground instead of air, I was able to eliminate 75 % of the premium and insurance fees from my initial quote. Went from a $400 shipping bill to a $100 bill. Much better! Took almost a week for the shipping company to even be able to pick the items up from the auction house, so that delay was somewhat significant, considering I paid almost immediately. Also, if you do not buy from liveauctioneers often, please make sure to keep your liveauctioneers account up-to-date. In my case, my emails to the shipping company all included my current address, but when they actually sent it, they simply sent the package to an old address that was on file with liveauctioneers from several years ago. I had not updated anything prior to bidding. Luckily, I was able to contact FedEx and get the delivery address changed to my new one, but it caused a delay of 3 days additional shipping time. Everything arrived safe and in excellent condition, so there were no concerns there. I have since made sure my liveauctioneers account is current.

The bidding, and paying process was exceptional. The shipping was very over priced although the packing was excellent. I don’t understand how 5 tiny hot wheels cars comes to 27 dollars for shipping seems extremely high

The auction house responded very quickly to questions and were very helpful referring me to shipping companies.

The Frank Borman letter that I purchased was signed by autopen (machine). I should have checked it out before bidding but because the pair of Neil Armstrong signatures on postcards that I bought were genuine, I assumed that the Borman signature was also genuine but, unfortunately, it was not.
