I bought 3 Copper Cabinet Vases from this company, each one cost me $400, when I received the product I saw a huge waste on one of them, you have to be blind not to see this, I noticed that it was completely hidden in the pictures, and I contacted the seller immediately, please see message between seller and me, "This waste is clear and you have hidden it in the pictures." SELLER: "You did not ask for a condition report. Had you inquired, we would have given you a full report. An outside company takes the pictures." "I am following nearly 30 products in one auction. Which product I will buy is determined by the auction. I will ask for the condition report for each product individually.., please tell me where it is written that the product does not specify its condition and that we need to get a condition report for this" SELLER: In our terms and conditions. Bidders ask for condition reports before they place a bid. Would you like to return the item? I can make a one-time request from the consignor to allow us to return the item and issue a refund to you minus 25 % auction fee. Please remember that you must pay for the shipping to send the item back to us. Once we receive the item, The auction house will request a refund. I am doing this for you as a courtesy. "If you want, you can send me a label for return and send me my full refund back, or I can open a claim with the CC company. You send me a product that is not worth $25 after paying $400, and you also want me to pay a % 25 fee?" SELLER: The due diligence of your purchase needs to happen before the auction. We are not a retail store. This is an auction. Feel free to proceed in any way you choose. We will not issue a refund or a return label. " " I only wrote the messages between me and the seller, not my own comments " You decide whether to trust this seller or not.

World of Antiques listed an R. Lalique Lot in their Aug 29 2024 Auction for an EPIS Vase. The lot was photographed with R. LALIQUE as expected for a true vintage piece. What arrived was a modern remake signed "Lalique Paris" Totally not the same piece. They did proomptly send me a return label, but I had to go through american express to get my money back. Also, please note Live Auctioneers never got back to me on this topic. The best thing you can do is take it up with your credit card company and NEVER deal in case or wire with World of Antiques because you will need to inspect items you buy from them. The most terrible part is that a few weeks after the return, I followed up on platform, thank god, because I have ALLLLLL the receipts. They sent me a nasty message: "Confirmed. It was received. The signature on the vase is precisely as it was imaged. There is no issue with this vase. I am attaching pictures of the signature on the vase for you to review. There is no refund due. The customer owes me the shipping fee of $450.00, which would be $225 for the label I sent to get the vase back here and $225 to send back to the customer. Confirmed. It was received. With images of yet a TOTALLY different vase. So not only did they attempt to fraud me, they did it in a very silly way. I was CLEARLY able to show my bank the images of the lot, what I got from them and returned and what they CLAIMED to be proof I was in the wrong. AVOID them. If you MUST buy from them, pay with a card to preserve your dispute rights, dont relay on live auctioneers to cover you and look over your piece or have it authenticated within 90 days. BEWARE.

The Heading said “Ginger Jars,” as did the description. Received only 1. Auction house insists that the “S” means only that it was a wide-mouthed vessel. Nonsense. It is a plural.

Of in the description says music box and doesn’t state that is in not Working condition, shouldn’t I think I am buying a used collectible in working condition???

After reading a few negative reviews I was a bit concerned about purchasing from this auction, but ended up having a great experience with my won items. The shipping cost was reasonable and the paintings were perfectly parked, and were delivered within less than two weeks of having the invoice paid through LiveAuctioneers. I am very happy with this purchase, and will keep looking at other items from them.

On 04. February 2021 in won (Lot 4991) in the auction the bid for a nice painting! I paid the order price and I paid also the auction fee and the shipping fee, as fast as possible, but up today I never got the painting. All my tries, to get the painting were not suceessful! It is a kind of betray and World of Antiques, Inc. should be prohibited act here on this auction platform, because it seems to be, that I'm not the only one!

Never did receive items, after paying them in full. They claim to have shipped my items via Fed Exp but never would give me a tracking # to verify that it was actually sent. ~ 8 weeks later, I have been promised a full refund, but have not received it. They never answer their phone calls. Something is really screwy with these folks, beware.

Yes, I did get a refund, but I never did get the right item. Instead I got a dirty other item I had to send back. They said they could not find the right item, and I really wanted that one. They were courteous, but I will probably never find that item again.

This is a scam, they have sent a different item to what I purchased. they item was not packed properly and individually so that the glass cups 8/14 were smashed. The item they sent they had auctioned 2 years previously. 1 of the glass cup had a different pattern and was substituted into the tantulus.

I have always been treated with kindness and respect. They are always helpful, answering questions, and giving advice where needed. Very easy to work with and made shipping easy.

The vases were listed perfectly. The shipping was perfect. I found that auction houses that use inhouse shipping usually is less expensive than an outside source. I am in FLorida they are in L. A. The payment of bank transfer was not enjoyable since it was my first time. I could mail a check but it usually takes longer than their 5 days to pay to reach them. Other than the payment the process was nice. Again I liked the inhouse shipping.

It was an overall great experience from beginning to the unpacking my beautiful purchase. Thank You

perfect communicatrion but many problem:-international bank fees claim after the payment, but the seller agreed to wave it, great.-international shippment, the tax was removed, great. tem received.-National shippment cost the same than international shippment. Strongly advice the buyer to user their own shipping company. the one provided by the seller is not reliable.-I received a broken item in a shipping box with NO sign of impact. the sculpture is not even with a tip broken but like someone dropped it on the floor from 3 feet high. i could not even find all the pieces (left wing missing, half of the bird body) i sent a claim to the shipping company, and asked the seller to do the same. i am waiting for feedback.

The seller pictured and described an expensive pill box with an 18th painted couple in the rain. It sent a Cupid box. And it was cracked. Seller didn’t respond to phone calls or emails but cashed my check.

Bought two small pieces of Rockwell silver. Combined weight perhaps five pounds at the most. Packing and shipping were $65!

The antique store does not give an accurate description. Purchased a Lalique figure, they described it as 9.5” tall. Actually it was only 5” tall. Huge difference. No response from dealer.
