The absolute worse Auction house in terms of service after the auction!!!!
The auction house does not deserve 1 star. After the auction, it is completely impossible to get a response or help of any kind from them. Does not return e-mails. does not return phone calls. Is not there for the agreed upon time for ups to pick lots. I have participated on 3 different auctions with them. Nothing but problems and lack of communication each time. Mr Chandler and his crew need to find another line of work as they fail BIG time at being a reputable auction house!!!

We are sorry you were disappointed with the shipping. We have changed shippers since we moved to our permanent location, and this shipper has been outstanding in communication and getting items out quickly while doing so economically for bidders. Unfortunately, the terms of the auction for shipping asked for items to be paid and picked up Sept. 16, and your invoice wasn't paid until late afternoon on the 17th. This did cause a considerable delay in getting the item to the shipper. There was no missed pick up time or agreed upon pick up appointment not kept. The shipper communicates with us effectively. There was a changed pick up appointment due to a conflict in schedules, perhaps this was not communicated clearly to you. Best wishes in your future bidding endeavors with other auction houses.

Pick up
I picked up my cabinet and was pleased to find that the parking area in Salisbury was large enough for me to pull out of the way and tie down the cabinet. The people at Chandler’s are very nice and I enjoyed meeting them.

what happened to my item?
Went to pick up item and the auction house couldn 't find it, and it had only been a couple of weeks from the auction. I was nevrr offered a refund.

We are not aware of any items that were not picked up by you. There was a matter of a purchase left for weeks after the auction, well beyond terms for pick up or shipping. Please be specific so that we can rectify any situation for missing items.

Non-reasonable high shipping fee
I bid and won a necklace, it is small item can be shipping by USPS only $7.99. I contacted two shippers which Auction house recommand, one not send shipping quote, other one "king shipper" send me a quote $50 plus shipping fee. Do you think it is a reasonable shipping price? I contact auction house ask them help me get a reasonable shipping service, or they shipping it to me by thenselves, but I got reply is "pay it first". AS a online auction house, they should help bider geting a reasonable shipping service, and not just collect money from bidder. The liveauctioneer.com" should learm from ebay.com" about shipping. there are so many many bad experiences about shipping on bidder side. Please inprove your rules about shipping ASAP.

We understand that shipping can be costly, and we would like to be able to provide shipping services but the area of expertise is with the auction items as we have nearly 25 years in the antiques and fine arts business. Any attempt to ship would be out of an area of expertise ending up most likely with damaged items as shipping can be tricky. We do allow bidders to choose their own third-party shipper in attempts to provide the most cost effective shipping.

Shipping
Was very easy to contact one of the shipping companies listed on the website. Fast response from UPS store listed, fast shipping also. Owner was very friendly on the phone when I asked questions and questions were answered quickly from online. Have already purchased from them again, absolute delight to deal with!

Shipping was excessive
Costs to ship were more than the item was worth. There was no way to get a quote (as suggested) before bidding because I didn't know how many items I would win. Probably a good auction house for local people, but for internet purchases due to extremely excessive shipping costs.

It took more than 3 weeks for the UPS store to pickup, process, pack, and ship. These were not big or fragile items that required special handling. Loved the sale, prices were good, and Chandler's handled their side of things professionally.

The condition of the Waterford pitcher was as depicted and the item is better than the picture represented. The payment process was seamless and the shipping suggested could not have been better. Thank you so much, I will be looking for Chandler Auctions in the future.

Was surprised by the quote/cost to package and ship the item. The item had been sent by Chandler’s to a shippers warehouse where I felt compelled to use the shipper. It took three contacts with the shipper to pay for the package to be shipped. Everyone there was very pleasant but again the cost was very high.

This has been a huge cluster. Other similar sites I have had no issue with receiving my items. Actually haven’t done anything. After the auction they were shipped. This has been a nightmare. Thank goodness there has been no hurry

12 Hours after I received the Invoice (1st invoice received after 9pm) I received a past due notice on my invoice. Very rude. When I provided shipping instructions to their recommended shipper, I receive no acknowledgement from the auctioneer or the shipper. It was a bout 5 to 7 days after the item was supposedly picked up that the shipper let me know they had it and where shipping it. The shipper did an excellent job of packaging and shipping the item.

The invoices are only sent out past due by automatic mail when the items are past due. Possibly the first invoice was caught in a spam mailbox? Regardless, after you notify us of your shipper, we release when they pick up. Shipping is a third-party business and we have no part in that process. We are glad things were packed and shipped nicely for you, however.

I contacted them after receiving the bed because there was damage that was not disclosed in the description. Pieces of molding were missing and there was severe water damage to the veneer. I would never have purchased the bed if they would have disclosed the damage.

As a seller on other platforms, I am VERY reluctant to leave less than 5-star feedback. But I am compelled to share with you my far-less than satisfying experience. As a courtesy to a fellow seller, I will not be writing a "public" feedback response. First-the watch chain is not as described. The clasp is clearly marked 1/20 12K GF (which is gold filled). Only the slide tests as 14K. Your listing stated the item was 14K gold, but all that is gold is the slide. Second-I had to place multiple calls/send multiple emails to get you to respond to my request for documentation (required by one of the shippers noted on your website). When ultimately you failed to respond, you sent me an in-house shipping invoice (at my request). Thanks for that, but it took a lot of work on my part, and a week of trying to contact you, before you ever responded. I'm sure you have lots of regular customers. I had hoped to be one. Sorry this didn't work out well.

Hello, I won two bronze dogs and one of them is without its tail. The description was "very fine condition". There were pictures and I did not notice the missing tail, which I should have noticed. Also, your action house wrote wrong address and the package was delivered to a different house on our street. instead of - it was addressed to -11 . Luckily, the package was brought to our house by a stranger. B.

The address is taken directly from the information exported which is entered by the bidder on Live Auctioneers. The mistake was not ours. We do apologize the item had incorrect information imported into the condition for the auction. Using photography we represent items as they are, being transparent.

The candelabra isn't sterling, it's silver-plated. There are dents in both bowls that should have been noted in the descriptions (very fine condition?). I was quoted a shipping price of $38 but the final cost was $78.
