An efficient auction house. Always a pleasure to do business. Perhaps making your online shipping form easier would be a plus and think about reducing your buyer's premium of 30 % to be more competitive.

You make the shipping process very difficult. There is no information on the site. When we called to ask about it, we got conflicting information (after much searching from the person at Rago) with what was sent after the sale. Full info (either price or shipper contact info) should be available before the sale as it impacts amount bid. Put contact info on shipping portion of the lot description. Selection of a shipper doesn't allow competing bids. Study what other auction sites do. It shouldn't be so hard.

The pick up took forever from the recommended UPS store shipper and the email from the auction house after I ‚ Ä ô d won to pay was one of the rudest emails I ‚ Ä ô ve ever received. It took a few weeks to receive the items. I would deal with them again, but I did not appreciate how they treat customers.

Shipping proces Statesside PERFECT! But after arrival in Amsterdam handling is transferred to PostNL and here the trouble starts. Parcel is on hold for days with customs and than out of the blue I received a pre-printed letter with the request to supply them with information like contents of parcel and a copy of the invoice. As they have no email address available I had to phone them at $1.10 per minute. With a week delay I was able to pick up my parcel at local postal agency. I think this what you call "a Dutch treat" Tony

I arrived at the auction house to pick up the item i purchased. I contacted them to tell them at what time i will arrive. Nothing was said to me until i paid then I learned my table was not here, that i had to drive to an off site location. I was given an address and a map. But it took me 15mn to find out that the "warehouse" was at the end of a path behind a commercial place. The warehouse consisted of a U-Haul storage building where items were on top of each other ans of 3 containers. My purchased item was in a back of one of these container. Staff at auction house were unpleasant.

I think auction houses that are offering expensive lots should provide more photographs to help buyers make decisions. With sofas or chairs, for example, a head-on view, quartering views, side views, and back views would be helpful. If there are condition issues, there should be photographs which focus on them.

I had to call many times to find out about shipment. I think the BP premium was high and shipping cost unpredictable-it is hard to make decisions. The description/photos are ok.

Rago is by far the premiere auction house in the country that surpasses other auction houses in selection of inventory, customer service, and professional and courteous staff members. I would want to tell everyone about them except then I may not get the amazing deals and finds that I regularly win with them. Rago is A + in my book!

Their photos are done in a way to enhance the product way beyond what is reality. Buyer beware. I have purchased a lot from them and have often been disappointed. I am really careful now after being disappointed so may times. Live Auctioneers and on line sites have enabled many of these auction houses to prosper because they make the item look good through photoshop and enhancements. They also run the price up..... trust me I know as I have consigned items with auction houses. The whole process is dishonest and liveauctioneers has been an enabler because of the photos and the ease of bidding.

Overall, Rago remains one of the highest performing auction houses that I buy from. The quality of their lots, accuracy of descriptions, quality of photographs, and willing to address any questions, is simply a cut above he rest of the pack. I highly recommend them.

It was damaged. Damage was not described in the description of the lot. They refunded the price and buyer's premium, as well as return shipping, but I am out the original shipping. I will not bid on one of their auctions again.

The two banjo clocks were packed face to face. As a result, the clock with convex dial glass arrived with the glass broken. Clock descriptions require pictures of the movement.

Over the years I won many items from different Auction Houses. This was the most unpleasant experience I ever had. The payment process was a hassle. The process was difficult to complete. No option to pay directly from the provided invoice. Forms send in weird format. To complete the entire process you have to print, sign, scan, send the forms. Also there is no direct Pay Pal option. The only way to pay thru PayPal is to send money directly to Rago auctions (no PayPal invoice was provided). It took considerable time to complete the payment process. Although I sent the payment the next day (2 weeks ago) the status of the item I won is still unpaid on live auctioneers. I sent 3 emails requesting to be marked paid. No response at all and no correction. Complete ignorance. Dealing with this company is irritating. Not responding to my emails is not only unprofessional but insulting. For a first time I have so unpleasant experience. For a company charging 30 % premium I expected more professionalism. Due to my disappointment I might skip the next Rago's auctions. It does not worth the hassle. There are more professional oriented and reasonable companies I prefer to work with.
