Overall my experience as an international (U. S.) bidder with Sworders was good and I am satisfied with the book I purchased in their recent auction. The spine was a bit more sunned in person than I expected, but the photos did show there was some fading. Where Sworders could improve is to do their own in-house shipping for international items (of reasonable size/weight) rather than contract this out to a third party, which turned out to be a rather convoluted and confusing process. This also took more time than was necessary, along with actually getting the book shipped. Looking for a more seamless and expedited transaction from gavel to door. Book was well packed in a padded, sturdy box. I would probably bid with Sworders again, but only for a very sought-after item.

The auction house didn't tell me the accurate condition report for this item. The cup has a very long hairline which doesn't show it in their description part.

International buying can be tedious and stressful. They made this transaction very easy. They were very efficient in the whole process, and I received shipment very very fast. They communicated very effectively every step of the way. I highly recommend this auction house.

The whole experience was so amazingly smooth, that I still can’t believe it. I have to say, that in all my years buying from auctions, this was the smoothest process. I will definitely be back!

It has been over a week and I am * still * trying to arrange shipping. The people they recommenddd one person quoted an absolutely outrageous price (over $300) but wouldn't provide information about why the quote was that high. And now I have another shipper but he takes 24-48 hours to reply and I can't figure out how to pay. Also Sworders website didn't work for payments so i had to pay over the phone. In general a bit of a major inconvenience. Never will bid with them again.

The item had to be shipped asap to New York USA and the girls that took care of the whole thing were awesome.
