Happy with items!

I Love it when auction houses offer quality items AND handled the shipping in house, as in this case. When I've purchased from Hindman in Chicago they haven't had the in-house shipping. I hope they continue with this trend.

Excellent service, beautifully packaged and shipped promptly.

5 *****. Their staff was most helpful with my two minor questions. Courteous folks indeed. I would buy from them again!

Very quick and easy transaction. Shipping through UPS was fast and very well packaged. An expensive fragile item arrived safely..

And it wasn’t the usual hassle to get it shipped. Hindman met my expectations.

Problem not with the product purchased, just the excessive shipping cost attached to the purchase price. Had to impose on a friend to take advantage of free pickup on items that wouldn't have warranted more than a 1 pound TOTAL shipping weight for a box travelling only 35-40 miles from Chicago to NW Indiana vs the $25.40 cost for them to ship. So when did shipping become a secondary revenue stream for auction houses instead of simply a cost of doing business?

The absolute worst customer service with outrageous fees. Hides behind the auspices of “we’ve b en swamped” when one inquires about delays in shipping. AVOID

First off I am happy with the items that I purchased through the auction. However, the buyers premium that this action house charges is very high. I don’t recommend buying from one of their auctions unless you live in the city of Chicago. They are only open for pick-up between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, which is ridiculous. When I inquired about shipping to a town just 30mins away they quoted me nearly $60, I bought old sports tickets, no way it would cost $60 to ship paper and that in turn means to me they were attempting to charge $50 for shipping supplies and time … again it’s paper. The staff was friendly enough and the individual I emailed with questions was very prompt in responding, but sadly I will not be buying from their house again nor would I recommend them to others. All the added extras don’t make it worth the time.
