Colombia's first professional auction house, founded by a team of market insiders committed to enriching the art & antiques scene of the country and opening a channel to the rest of the world that is long overdue. Colombia has a history both troubled and vibrant, and this has given a diversity and intensity to its arts scene that few countries can match. Some of Colombia's most famous artists of the twentieth century (Romulo Rozo, Fernando Botero, Doris Salcedo) emigrated, but many more came from abroad to be adopted here (Leopoldo Richter, Guillermo Wiedemann, Enrique Grau, Juan Antonio Roda). Bogota Auctions was created to give a bigger platform to these and many other artists, add to which forthcoming sales of decorative arts and other collectibles.
