Which auction house?! I use the platform for multiple auctions and none are identified in this survey. The experience across auction houses is quite varied-some are good, some not so much, some I will not bid in again. What works? Condition reports that contain actual condition information, pre-estimated reasonable shipping costs that do not require contacting multiple third parties at widely varied costs, auction houses that do not favor floor bidders over absentee bids. What doesn't work? The opposite of all these things: one photo, and no indication of condition, just a disclaimer; clip joint shipping or the hassle of contacting third party shippers; favoring floor bidders in tie bids with absentees instead of forcing the floor to go over-if the auction house wants to accept live auctioneer absentee bids, they should have to follow a certain protocol, otherwise they should insist on live auction only. The service is great for me in that I am a collector and cannot get all over the country to do so, so thank you. But I know you are bringing an inordinate amount of business to the houses and they should cooperate a bit with the new hand that feeds them-there should be some consistency across them regarding descriptions (including some mention of observed condition!), shipping costs and protocols (ideally, they should be encouraged to pull it all In House at the most favorable cost possible for the customer), and, as mentioned, they should be discouraged from favoring the floor, as mentioned above.

We're keeping contacting the auction house regarding the shipping of the item but still got no reply.

They never give me any answer about my question of payment and shipping for 10days after the house sent me an invoice. And suddenly sent me Item Removal Request by email. Reason for removal was clerking error. No apology at all. I disagree with their request until they give me a reasonable reason. I'm not super happy with this aucion house.

Very friendly, courteous, helpful staff. I would have preferred to be able to pay online.
