Their recommended shipper wouldn't respond to emails. So I sought one on my own-a UPS store. The latter meant well but clearly was unfamiliar with the routine working with an auction house.

You do not know your merchandise nor can you count. I thought I was buying 19 luncheon plates with the set of china I bought, instead I was sent 19 salad plates, there is a big difference in value here and this was the reason we bought this china was for luncheon plates to add to our collection. If I had known this I would not have bought the china. The description was way off. I got more information zooming in on the bad pictures buying the crystal. Dealing with the shipping was a nightmare. Kerry tried to make me pay a ransom for my items. I was quoted almost 1, 300.00 to ship my items. This was over three times what I was quoted per auction. The only way I got it shipped was to tell her I wanted my items shipped to my nieces house about 30 miles north or French Town NJ. She finally came in with a reasonable price and I allowed her to ship to me. Kerry would not put in writing the final price I was charged 465.00. She said the e-mail was down. I felt like I was in Mexico negotiating for the release of a family member being held for ransom. The shipping department did a very good job packaging my items even though I did not pay a ransom. I only had one piece of crystal broken. I would haven given a good review if not having to deal with your rude shipping department.

Descriptions & dimensions are pathetic and many times not accurate!!! The buyers premium they charge in relation to service provided is borderline criminal!! Can't bid without viewing in person or else.........

I wanted to pick it up, and set them an email. Unfortunately, they sent it to their shipper by mistake, and I had to travel farther to get the item.

The pictures were better description than written descriptions. You can not count, nor do you know your merchandise. Your description were wrong on my china and the number of parts were wrong on my crystal. You called 19 salad plates luncheon plates, luncheon plates are way more valuable than salad plates. This was the main reason for purchasing this china at the price I paid. There was 45 pieces of crystal, you counted 42. One piece of crystal was broken when I received it. The pre auction estimate for shipping tripled when I finally got my final quote from Kerry. Kerry quoted me 1, 264.00 for shipping my items. I was going to have items delivered to me niece which lives about 30 minutes away from Frenchtown for less than 169.00 if I did not receive a better shipping price. Kerry then gave me a shipping price of 465.00 over the phone only with no e-mail to back this price up. Her e-mail quit working that day. I got the feeling I was being shook down by the shipping department, like they were holding my items ransom. Kind of like going to Mexico and being held hostage for a negotiated ransom. The items were packaged extremely well. I had only one piece of crystal broken.

Kamelot did not describe the lot according to reality. Was nowhere in description any hint that there are major damages (chunks missing major cracks) to one urn. It was always my experience that if an item on the Internet auction has more than wear and tear expected with age, than the defects would be described, and then I would ask for details. The secretary was not only not helpful, but very rude and unprofessional. When I asked to speak with the owner, she put me on hold for more than 39 min then she disconnected me. I called back more than 10 times, she wouldn't pick up the phone, when I called from another line, another woman answered and she said that the owner or manager will not speak to me, so "get lost" and she also hang up the phone! Live auctioneer wasn't any better, they rudely never addressed me by my name and practically didn't offer any resolution! I am now doing business with invaluable, after I purchased more than 50 items (I don't recall exactly) through live and I paid for each item.

My issue with LiveAuctioneers has still not be resolved. No one has contacted me. I'm going to switch to BidSquare and get all my other dealers to switch to BidSquare as well soon if this doesn't get fixed.
