The description of this item states there is “no other damage” (after noting patina of the sculpture; however, this is definitely not true. There are 2 very large chips out of the base that were not shown by the photos, based on angles and lighting. To make the affirmative statement that no damage exists-particularly when your pictures (deliberately?) don’t indicate damage-is dishonest and unprofessional. Also, I didn’t receive any email confirmation after payment was made. I waited a little more than a week and then reached out to ask about the in-house shipping ETA. Only then did I get notice that the item had been shipped (no shipping confirmation email was sent). Lastly, the item was shipped by the auction house in a VERY thin box not intended to be a shipping box. The whole box was squishy and unstable and, not surprisingly, the statue had separated from the base in transit. Overall, not a trustworthy experience for me.

Following my auction WIN, I contacted Zikorn and discussed my concerns regarding the safe packing and shipment of my treasure!! We had a wonderful discussion regarding the NON replaceability of many items especially china (porcelain) and glass, as well as other art and collectibles!! I specifically questioned their packing methods and suggested my expertise as I ship expensive porcelains worldwide!! They were MORE than open to my suggestions and for ONLY the cost of a couple glasses of fine wine, they were accepted!! My shipment arrived as scheduled and following unpacking my treasured figurine I proceeded to shower her removing any time deposited grime!! HINT: For cleansing (especially) china and porcelain, I utilize Scrub Free (w/OXI) as it contains NO Bleach or Petroleum Distillates as these have the tendency to seep into cracks (breaking down 'soft' porcelains) and/or dissolving (repair) polymers!! I would STRONGLY recommend BOTH Live Auctioneers as well as Zikorn Arts & History Objects for their professionalism, honesty and an overall relaxing and pleasurable auction experience!! I would definitely conclude business with them in the future!! THANK YOU for an ENJOYABLE Auction experience!!

I purchased an item that was described as ‘ signed ’ in the item title and description. The item was not signed. When I asked for recompense, Zirkorn was unapologetic and made excuses. They would not assist me and would not accept responsibility. I would not participate in their auctions again.

Michael is a very pleasant gentleman who was helpful when the item was delayed in shipping, by no fault of his own other than to trust the US postal service.

When an issue arose, I received a call from the owner to alert me and resolve it. I received my items in a timely manner and they were expertly packed. You could tell that whoever handled them took pride in his or her work, wrapping each item individually and then packing them securely. Very pleased.

The way they are packing the art work it is appropriate. It was really expensive and the packing is not protecting the artwork.

This was the first item that I purchased through Live Auctioneers, so at the time I didn't have anything to compare the experience to. But, after I won the bid, it was received relatively soon. Payment and arrangements for shipping were very easy. The shipping and handling charges were, compared to subsequent transactions with other auction houses, reasonable. The print itself was accurately shown in the photographs provided by Zikorn. I ended up having it reframed as the frame that the work was shown in was old and falling apart. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate in doing business with Zikorn again.

Every person of Zikorn Arts & History Objects answered my questions quickly and satisfactory, prior to the live bidding They even sent recommendations. Paying went smoothly. After short wait, my parcel had already entered Europe. Today it arrived and I have to say I have never seen something as securely packed as this!! It took me quite while to unpack, but I'm very pleased that they took the time and care to ensure no damage would be sustained during the travelling process. It's even more beautiful than I imagined. One of the most pleasant and enjoyable experiences with a dealer I have ever had. Bought an extraordinary 1930's English watercolor in original frame and glass.
