Helpful and honest description of auction item!
The auction house was quick to respond, happy to answer questions about the piece when I called. THEY WERE HONEST in there descriptions! Very helpful with all the details after the sale.

Shipping a nightmare
Unless I completely missed it, Fine Estates does not warn bidders that they are not involved whatsoever with shipping of items won. I finally got in contact with someone there who gave me the names of local shippers. While the shipper (in this case a mailbox store) was helpful, their charge to pick up and ship a 2-3-oz book via Media Mail was exorbitant, around $25 shipped. I only saw how little it cost them to ship when I got the package. I would not deal with this auction house again unless I were desperate for what they were selling.

Hi Zigy, We do try to make it clear to bidders when they are registering for our auctions that we do not handle shipping and we apologize that this was not made clearer to you. Shipping can be expensive and we provide a list a shippers that our clients have used with success in the past and suggest they get multiple quotes. Beware!!!!!!
The shipping recommendations they suggested were sheer piracy. I contacted them for help. They said they would but have ignored about 5 messages I left with them. Unacceptably unhelpful.

Not like the picture
The wood an design is truly the style a color as seen n ad. The cushions are ripped an torn with the old foam sticking out. Did not look like that in the pics. After paying 200 , 390 $for shipping an then the fabric an foam an paying to recover made the chairs very expensive. Please b careful in the pics you see

This is indeed a Fine auction house with wonderfully helpful staff who help buyers in whatever way possible. I was particularly impressed with the people who work there, who want the whole experience to be a pleasure for the customer. Excellent auction house who serves its buyers well.

Hard to find limited parking sort time to pick up items unless you pay a daily fee. also no weekend pick up only week day. Note they are in a industrial area.

the payment process was vague online. I ended up having to call to make the payment over the phone, but once I did that, they were excellent to work with. The descriptions I felt could give more information.
