First timer
This was my first purchase on live auctioneer. From my experience they seem to be fair and efficient. It took a little longer than I would have liked for delivery. I would have liked to have seen more photos of the item as I thought the earrings dangled from the bottom of the lever back but found that they are soldered on which means less movement.

Charged me for an item where I wasn't the highest bidder
Charged me for an item where I wasn't the highest bidder (after I contacted them after they sent me a receipt). They told me not to worry about it and to disregard the invoice. The next thing I knew they had charged me and sent the item to me. They are FRAUDULENT sellers. BEWARE!!!

Items doesn't match description
I bought this necklace first, received wrong item. They only accepted exchange, not refund. I have received item after several days. Even exchange was not per description. I will never buy from this auction house again. I would not recommend them to anyone.

We gave the exchange item exactly as was described. The customer however wants a bigger stone then what was received. But this does not mean that we gave a misleading description. Regardless, we will work with the client to resolve this.

Make sure you see a photo of item to scale
Service was good. I was disappointed that the photos were so blown up/exaggerated. They did not provide a photo showing SCALE OF THE ITEM on a human wrist. That would have given me better perspective.

So I don’t want be to harsh but I would say bidder beware. Yes in the beginning I had an issue where to pay by check option I forgot to send the attachment file with pictures of front and back of the check. It didn’t take long for Papps to file a dispute against me causing Live Auctioneers to suspend my account making me miss out on some really good deals from other auctions in the days following. Once I noticed that I was not able to bid I immediately reached out to Papps via phone to discuss options. The lady I spoke to was super nice and worked with me getting the email sent again this time with the attachment included. She verified she received it and they processed it the very next morning and were paid in full. I still was suspended by LA on a weekend of auctions and on Monday of the following week I was taken off suspend mode. Now here is the major issue I have and the very poor rating I gave. So here it is 2 weeks now, no sign of any rings I purchased over $5000 dollars and promises made that they would ship The next day, well that didn’t happen. So I ask why the hell does the bidder get punished and suspended for not paying in a timely manner, with an honest oversight, yet the auction houses can for the dispute yet when received the money they don’t have to follow any of their rules. I have reached out to Live Auctioneers and they have done nothing either to help fix this terrible rule. Look, I love buying of Live Auctioneers platform and have spent close to $100k since I started auctions 7 months ago, but what is not fair is they allow the auction house like Papps and others (biggest culprit Key Date Coins) to hinder our fun of bidding while letting the auction houses not follow their own guidelines they put on their auctions. Why can’t the great platform that is LA stop future auctions from happening until all the serious issues bidders have with the auction houses get resolved. Just food for thought. I truly hope I get my stuff and it’s what I bought!

These items were shipped out & delivered via Overnight mail. We had been extremely responsive and kept the customer updated. We were slightly delayed due to the holidays and we do apologize. While other experiences may have caused this review as well, we do apologize for any issues on our end. We have delivered the item and it is now in the customers hands.

You can rely on them to be be quick and attentive.
They are easy to contact and helpful and reliable. The item was actually smaller than I expected but that’s close up photography for you. They only post one photo. I wish there was more.

Unethical behavior
I sent over $34000 for a very special watch for my wife in October of 2023. It was never sent and I never received a refund. This is a fraudulent company and no one should purchase with any security!!! I have no hope of ever receiving anything back. The check is always “in the mail”

I find it is better to purchase things on different sites
Once an auction, the prices that are published are not the prices that you pay for the item it would be with your winning bed and then you’re paying a premium on top of that plus shipping plus tax so you’re pretty much can count on 1/3 of what you bid been added onto your actual purchase price

Not so happy with purchase due to condition of item received was in bad shape than expected
Well I purchased this ring from PAPPS auction house. Transaction went well but when I collected my package it was open. Ring as mentioned was new but when I inspected it was dirty I mean fingerprints and some dirt and watermarks as if someone dropped it or had wet hands. appraisal card and ring were both outside box loose and not with item.

Took 3 shipments last ring came in it is not the same as the one in picture
Their estimated value is about 80 % higher then actual valuation unless they are GIA Certified just received third shipment on one order and ring is incorrect if bidding 20 % of estimate is more correct.

We stated we would refund you in full however, you insisted to us to ship the ring no matter what. We paid the full repair costs and two stones had been removed as these were the damaged areas.
