I won a painting on Jan. 11 for about $2400, and after fees, taxes and an outrageous $399 shipping fee (for a piece of illustration board; an item I could have shipped fully insured for less than $100), I still don't have the piece, nor any response to my two emails. There is no sign that the item has shipped, or is close to being shipped, or even will ship. I know they use a third-party service, but if this service is screwing up your business, you'd better drop them. My "bargain" painting is not so much a bargain with 40 percent + in fees, shipping and taxes, and no delivery.

They’re very good. I use live auctioneers all the time and Brandywine is top class.

One of the best auction experiences. Unlike other auction companies you could telephone the auctioneer and he would answer the call. Kind and considerate and easy to arrange pickup. Would buy again from them.

Shipping has been a disaster with this auction house. They do not arrange shipping or ship themselves as it states on LiveAuctioneers. It ended up costing more than the items itself. Won’t bid here again.

A + shipping. The gentlemen was nice when I called with follow up questions. Will use them again!

The auction house never replied app msg or emails. I had to call his cell twice to get shipping information. Called the ups three times. Finally it arrived after a month. It cost $300 to ship the art piece which turns out much darker and less saturated than the photos shown. The auction house brighten the photo way too much.

Brandywine was great up front but soon after payment was made they dropped the ball on communication & shipping.

After 3 email/auction messages, still no answer to get my item-will not bid here again.

Shipping was unexpectedly slow, but overall I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Item was accurately described and initial questions about provenance were answered timely. Problems began once auction was over... card was immediately charged and was hit with a processing fee that was never disclosed or agreed to; communication about shipping turned out to be incorrect and auctioneer was unresponsive to any inquiries for more than a week. Apparently auctioneer went out of town immediately after the auction with the appearance of having left town with payment in hand. Shipping process was changed without notice and still creating a lot of uncertainty. Had to ask LiveAuctioneers to intervene and their responsiveness was very slow and not helpful at all. Eventually did receive the item and it showed up as described, but the surprise fees, poor post-sale communication and overall lack of concern for the customer/buyer will cause me to reconsider purchasing from them again in the future.

When I wrote to ask about shipping they replied right away and were helpful. Top notch auction house-highly recommended. The pieces are exactly as describe and really rather unique and wonderful. A great find!

Had an initial pleasant experience with the owner. Paid for items Immediately and patient with the owner, recognizing that that it is a one person operation and that understanding was taken for granted. It has been (4) MONTHS + since the purchase of three items and received (2) less than one month ago and can’t get the third. Asked Liveauctioneers to intervene, but can’t talk to anyone by phone and have dealt with at least 4 representatives of the company and still, no final resolution.
