Do not buy art from this auction house. I bought what they said was an off set lithograph from the 1970s. It was a modern photograph printed by inkjet of the artwork they listed. When I ask for a refund I was told. "I spoke with our staff here and from what we understand, an offset lithograph is extremely similar to a poster and the consignor indicated that it is indeed an offset lithograph." and would not communicate with me any longer. This seller gives online auction houses a bad name by not standing behind what they sell. They if they are not deceitful then they just do know what they are selling. Buy from someone else. I am out $800 for this junk.

This shouldn't be complicated. I bought an item, paid for it plus shipping and all the fees. Have waited 25 days. Still no response from Sapphire. Very poor customer service. Buyer beware.

I bought the Warhol My Hustle poster from sapphire auctions and the poster is NOT REAL ITS FAKE. I emailed David about it and he basically said well we never said it was authentic or printed back in the day. What a joke because there WAS NO MENTION that the poster wasnt real or that it might be a reprint. He said he couldnt most likely refund the money but that he would talk to his team. Ive heard nothing after a few more attempts to contact him.... BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE make sure that what you are buying is real. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I bought a picture and it was a printout in regular low quality paper and low quality print. Wrote many times and did not get an answer from Sapphire. Very bad experience and service.

I purchased a photo from the gallery. Once I received it, it was the image I had bid on, BUT cropped on two side of the photo. I contacted the gallery about this. We've exchanged multiple emails on the issue in which they say they don't know how this happened. I don't know how it happened either, yet here I am with a cropped photo that's not the same as the photo I bid on. The auction house has offered a partial refund, yet they have not given me a partial refund or told me how much of a partial refund they're offering me. I've waited and asked them via the LiveAuctioneers messaging system and via email and they have not responded. It's been weeks and I'm incredibly disappointed and feel cheated by this auction house. Please just acknowledge the problem and issue a refund. Irresponsible and dishonest.

I have reached out to the auction team multiple times to discuss the lot I recently won as the description listed on the site was inaccurate and I have heard nothing back to remedy the situation; which is extremely disappointing. The item was also creased in transit due to the tube being crushed on one side and was only wrapped with a thin piece of plastic film.

After posting my original review, David from Sapphire Gallery reached out to me immediately. He was very eager to better understand my concerns and correct the experience. He acknowledged and apologized for missing my previous email about condition reports, listened to my concerns about the items and allowed me to return the items for a full refund. I now believe there was absolutely no intent to misrepresent the items in the listing. Truly above and beyond customer service on the back end of the transaction. David was true to his word on fully correcting the experience and I greatly appreciate it.

I bought 3 unframed photographs. The description said $15.00 for shipping in each description. I messaged the auction house twice to combine the shipping, as it was not more exprnsive to ship 3 photos as to ship one. No reply! They charged $45.00 to ship 3 phoyos! The shipping material was a bunch of free Priority Mail cardboard flat boxes in brown tape & Saran Wrap. I am terribly disappointed to be overcharged with shipping!

I would greatly watch out for this auction house. Never was there availability to talk with anyone. Highly wonder if there really is an auction house at all, just an online scam house. Item I bought is a China repop mis-lead as coming from a collection. Do not bid on anything that you might question as in my experience with them its a fake.

Although my photo arrived damaged, they quickly refunded my money & let me keep the damaged, large, poster/print!

item arrived quickly. however, had an issue with liveauctioneers-as shipping address was incorrect. I tried calling and emailing auction house as soon as I was in receipt of the receipt from live auctioneers; with no response through either channel, and as a result item was sent to wrong location and I ended up with much higher international shipping charges and customs duties to be paid.

When I missed the auction for an Item I wanted, I was notified that it had passed without being sold. I was able to negotiate a purchase for the item, and I am so happy about it.

If you will ask for a provenance, you wil probably get a layed answer like that: I apologize about the delayed response. The consignor indicated that they acquired it from a private collection out of New York, before that person acquired the work, it was located in Munich at a private estate. Please let me know if you have any questions. And if you ask again about more details, you will probably get no answer. Maybe I told them that ‘ s not a provenance and I ask for something like documents.

I recommend doing some research on art terminolgy, as I wasn't aware that this was going to be a copy on cardboard. The image is as advertised but upon further inspection it is not very sharp and some alignment seems off. One lives and learns, I do love the image and have since purchased other Horst images.

I purchased a few items from Sapphire but the one that was most memorable was the one that I had an issue with. After discovering a potentially misrepresented item (by the consignor), Sapphire quickly rectified the issue and returned my money. They could not have been more professional and helpful-I was thrilled with their response. As for all of the other items-the quality and service were flawless and I would be happy to work with them in the future.

Dissatisfied with the poster, was placed on linen, to have it „ feel “special.. was clearly and offset print and was told that they can’t tell (any amateur could tell).. Spend hundreds for a cheap repro. Descriptions could be more specific, but than no one would bid for this cheap print

The auction house sold me a forgery. I sent three emails to see if the auction house had checked the painting I had bought. Zero response. I don't recommend.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.. 5 STAR.

Two cartons were delivered containing the lamp, one with the lamp shade and the other with the lamp base. When I unpacked the lamp base and stem, the base was dangling attached by the cables, from the stem of the lamp. There was no bubble wrap around the base nor carton nor wood to retain base in its upright position during shipping. Either the lamp was broken prior to shipping or during shipping it broke. Additionally, the mirrored panels on the stem were unglued showing a very amateurish attempt to restore the lamp. I wrote to the Auction House and sent photos inquiring how to proceed in this situation. While previously the Auction House returned my e-mails quickly, here they were silent, showing disinterest in trying to remedy the situation. I will NEVER buy anything from this House, again. BUYER BEWARE, as this type of unprofessional conduct just casts doubt on the veracity of this entire process. Very disappointing experience.

Everything went like clockwork. Perfect. I bid. I won. They billed me and included very fair shipping rate. I paid. I received my pieces a week later. Highly recommend Sapphire Auction House.

No problems at all with the auction but the follow-up could have been better. I was billed a second time after I had already paid-always an annoyance-and the house did not respond to an email asking if they had received my payment. Then the photograph was mailed with no notice that it had been mailed and no tracking number. Mail theft from front porches being what it is today, I felt lucky when I found the package lying by my door, even though I wasn't expecting it. FedEx didn't send notice either.

I received this item in Canada very quickly and well packaged and even they included a frame I like, highly recommend them!

Sapphire Auction Gallery is honest (items as described), organized, with prompt delivery in impeccable packaging. I purchased 2 art prints and I wish others would rise to SAG's superior standards. Highly recommended! Thank you!
