Great items and a fair surcharge. Very easy to work with. This is the third or fourth auction where I won items. Every time has been very positive experience.

Great servixe
The Rig Life pays attention and alerts you to save you money! I love that rug shipping just gets handled and i dont have to wrestle with that after the fact! I regularly search to auctions by them!

The rugs are not professionally cleaned: water in my cleaner was dirty. No photos of dark stains
Most rugs on this site are professionally cleaned. The rugs from this seller are not. I ran a home cleaner over the rug and the water came out filthy: I'm happy to provide photos. When I pointed that out to the seller, he said that they never said they were professionally cleaned and that our definitions of clean might be different. Mine is that I don't expect the water in my rug cleaner to be filthy. Also, when I pointed out some very dark stains that weren't highlighted in the photos the seller said I should have come to see it in person. I'm mentioning this for people who are buying remotely. Other than that the process was easy.

Completely Unsatisfactory
The photos of the rugs show much more vibrant colors than the rugs actually have. The photos do not show how damaged are the borders. Shipping costs were very high. The rugs were folded, not neatly, into a cardboard box. All of the charges wound up doubling the cost of the rugs. They arrived with such a strong chemical odor that they had to be laid outside in the sun for three days before they could be placed in the house. It was a bad experience resulting in ownership of two ugly, damaged rugs.

Sir, We did nothing wrong. Nor do we feel that you were completely truthful or fair in your complaint. So, we will respond to each of the items in your complaint and let the readers decide. We believe you when you say that the colors are more vibrant in our photos. We take our pictures in direct sunlight, so that bidders can see any imperfections. Therefore, the rugs would appear darker when you see them inside. Also, your computer screen may show coloring that slightly differs from our camera. Our photos definitely show the damage to the borders. For anyone reading this, scroll down to our 9.12.24 auction and look at the 1st picture in Lot 127. You can definitely see the damages to the edges. Also, you bought 2 antique rugs ….. there’s going to be some wear and tear. The shipping cost were not high. The shipping costs are the shipping costs. We can’t control that. And you could have arranged the shipping yourself, or picked up the rugs. We agree that the rugs were folded into a cardboard box. It is cheaper to ship a rug in a box, then to ship a rug that is rolled up. All of the charges did not double the cost of the rugs. You paid us $275 for the rugs, with tax. You paid $73 for the shipping and $20 for the packaging and delivery to UPS. $93 in extra charges does not double the cost of the rugs. As for the chemical odor, I have no idea what that may be. We washed the rugs before they left us. No chemicals were used. I can only assume that the rugs were not completely dry when we packaged them. Allowing them to dry in the sun would fix that. Again, we did nothing wrong. However, we made you an offer to keep you happy. I’m sorry that you did not accept our offer of a full credit to use in a future auction. That credit would have been for everything that you paid us, plus the shipping. You wanted a full refund which we rejected. We did nothing wrong, this was an auction, and all sales are final.

Very happy
Very rare Grateful Dead concert poster from 1967. Only a handful know to exist. This was indeed the real deal. Thrilled with my acquisition. Seller was very helpful. Removed glass prior to shipping to prevent damage. Packed very well. Described accurately.

Gorgeous rug and great service
Could not have been more gracious and helpful. We are thrilled with quality of rug. It arrived easily thanks to The Rug Life's recommended shipper and their clearly strong professional relationship.
