Gorgeous rug and great service
Could not have been more gracious and helpful. We are thrilled with quality of rug. It arrived easily thanks to The Rug Life's recommended shipper and their clearly strong professional relationship. Love that it was cleaned so I don't t worry about it coming in house. Truly a knockout and great experience. Will return to them again!

Inaccurate Description
The description said that this small bronze was in "Excellent" condition. As soon as I opened the package, though, I could see there was substantial damage. The plaque on the base had been removed, and in its place was a badge of old glue and metallic remnants. It looks like it was pulled out of the garbage, and I would be ashamed to have this in my house. I asked him for a refund, and he refused saying that the damage was in the picture. However, it would not be too obvious from the picture, and most people, like me, relied on the "Excellent" condition reported. He offered me $35 to go to a trophy store and have a new plaque and base created. However, I bid for a piece in "Excellent" condition, and that means it does not require a bunch of extra cost and effort to display it. Their terms of the auction are very one-sided. They say that the pictures are part of the description. Well, the description is also a part of the description. Also, if you want to sue, you have to go to his hometown court in Virginia to do so. He also threatened to sue me for liable if I posted an unfavorable review, and to take my house from me. Unfortunately for him, though, the federal Consumer Review Fairness Act allows consumers to make truthful reviews that he can't prevent. This company's terms are very unfair, and it looks like he has customized them based on previous unhappy purchasers 'complaints to provide him the greatest position in any dispute. In fact, he told me he is involved in six other lawsuits right now. I am filing many other consumer reports on other sites about this company, I am going to file a complaint with the Virginia Consumer Protection Department, and I will also file a lawsuit to recover my damages.

This is the 4th review that this guy has posted. The first 3 were removed by LA because he wrote libelous/defamatory statements. Before you believe anything that he wrote, look at the Remington bronze that he bought. At The Rug Life page, go to our “Post 4th Of July Auction”, look at Lot 213. He claims this about the damage “However, it would not be too obvious from the picture”. Untrue, you clearly see that the base is marred. He states that “He offered me $35 to go to a trophy store and have a new plaque and base created.”. We made him 3 offers; Return it for a full credit in a future auction OR Call a local trophy shop, and we would pay for a small plaque to cover that area OR We have a large Remington, he could return the small Remington, and we would sell him the large Remington directly, with a credit towards the purchase. None of these were enough. He states “He also threatened to sue me for liable if I posted an unfavorable review, and to take my house from me”. Untrue, we have no issue with any truthful complaint being filed, and we wrote that to him. He said we were scammers/fraudsters. I made it very clear that if he didn’t change that language, that we would sue him for defamation and libel. He didn’t change that language, and his three reviews were removed by Live Auctioneers. Nowhere did I ever state, write (or imply) that we would take his house away. He states “This company's terms are very unfair, and it looks like he has customized them based on previous unhappy purchasers 'complaints to provide him the greatest position in any dispute.” Terms and Conditions are designed for 2 things: To lay down a fair set of rules in conducting our auction and to protect the company from unscrupulous and unethical behavior. This guy is upset because we are protected from his behavior. And in any contract, there has to be a Jurisdiction clause. This states where any dispute can be settled. EVERY company has their home state listed for jurisdiction.
