Saturday, July 15th at 11:00 am
The Saturday auction opens with a classic assemblage of Georg Jensen sterling flatware and hollowware; of note, the ?Blossom? sterling tea and coffee set with tray. Georg Jensen was one of the most influential silversmiths of the twentieth century; his work embodied the Danish philosophy of the Arts and Crafts movement, or ?skønvirke?. Following, are the property of numerous private collectors: a Zsolnay Hungarian iridescent ceramic planter; fine jewelry including ruby, diamond, gold, and cameo bracelets, necklaces, and rings; furniture by Baker and Hickory Chair, and other furnishings in the French, English, and Italian tastes; numerous lots of Chinese porcelains; ?Tommy? crystal stemware by St. Louis, along Lalique and Waterford crystal and glass wares; a collection of 19th century English Staffordshire pottery lamps, figural groups, and spill vases. We end our sale with American Brilliant period cut glass articles and Royal Doulton porcelains.
