Collection of Private Press - Ashendene, Doves, Essex House, Fleece, Gregynog & Gwas Gregynog, Kelmscott, Nonesuch, St. Dominics, Trianon, Vale and Whittington are just some of examples featured. The Typography and Design section include The Russian Revolutionary Poster by Viacheslav Polonskii, one of 3000 first edition copies it is an important work on revolutionary posters featuring work by Moor, Deni, Majakowsky and Tcheremnich and is expected to realise £700-900. Children's Books includes first editions of Richard Adams' Watership Down estimated at £1000-1500 and a number of works by Beatrix Potter (including a first of Peter Rabbit at £10,000-15,000), Cecil Aldin, Hans Christian Andersen and Edmund Dulac. Highlights include a first edition The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Graham bound in green goatskin by Trevor Hickman estimated to achieve £1000-1500. An unusal and rare A.A. Milne second edition of When We Were Very Young signed by A.A. Milne, Ernest H. Shepard and Christopher Robin Milne (as Billy Moon), is inscribed by all three of the main "protagonists". "Billy Moon" was Milne's nickname for his son Christopher Robin, and here Milne has endorsed the signature thus "The above autograph was written by Christopher Robin Milne (aged 4 years and 3 months) this day, December 2nd, 1924". A strong collection of books illustrated by Arthur Rackham includes The Peter Pan Portfolio number 278 of 500 copies from 1912 estimated at £4000-5000.
