Prehistoric Relic Collection

The Old Barn Auction is pleased to offer, for public auction, the Pre-historic Relic Collections of Dudley Bravard from Springfield, Ohio; Marvin Seeley from Indian Lake, Ohio; and the McVetta Family (Who's Who No. 3), from Mt. Cory, Ohio. A small number of items from our personal collection will also be offered. This will be Part I of III. Part I auction is scheduled for March 31, 2007 at 10:00 AM EASTERN TIME. Three auctions totaling approximately 1500 lots are scheduled. (March 31, 2007; May 19, 2007; June 23, 2007). Most of the relics have been packed away for over 25 years. These important old collections represent the most choice and diversified assemblage of pre-historic artifacts to be sold publicly in many years, providing serious collectors a unique opportunity to acquire well documented, authentic, investment grade relics. Highlights include several extremely rare Glacial Kame artifacts, ten birdstones, eight bar amulets, six Ohio trophy axes, fine flint Ridge flint, a large amount of exceptional stone tools, great slate types, including what is probably the Largest and Finest Notched Butterfly ever sold at auction. Sixty pots plus a large selection of archaeological books and publications will also be auctioned. There is a 15% BUYER'S PREMIUM FOR ALL INTERNET BIDDING. All items will be laid out by Tuesday, March 27. If you have questions, or need extra pictures, we will be able to do this once the items are laids out. WILL RESPOND TO E-MAILS AFTER MARCH 27, 2007.
