The late Dr. Gerald Cochran was a prominent
physician in the Rainsville, Alabama area for many years. Dr. Cochran
was well known for his avid passion of collecting antiques and works
of art. This superb collection has been removed from Dr. Cochran‘s
farm in Rainsville, Alabama and his mountain home in Mentone, Alabama
and will be sold in our gallery on April 28th and 29th. This outstanding
collection includes furniture, paintings, mirrors, clocks, crystal,
china, porcelain, silver, bronze statuary, oriental rugs and unusual
works of art. In addition we will sell a fine collection of English
and French furniture from a prominent estate in Jackson, Tennessee,
a consignment of paintings, china and crystal from a private collector
in Tallahassee, Florida, a consignment of exquisite jewelry and a large
collection of oriental rugs, including a 11‘4” x 14‘6” Serapi rug!
