2018 Fall Auction Weekend - Day 3

Day 3 of our four-day Fall Auction Weekend features a spectacular collection of antiques and fine art, including paintings by Thomas Gainsborough, William Howard Yorke, David Teniers, The Younger, Thomas Doughty, Francois Rodin, Marie Laurecin, Albert Fuller Graves, and William Garl Browne, Jr. A rare American carved and gilded tobacco trade figure of a young Turkish boy will lead the folk art collection, along with a Colonial era Adam & Eve sampler and unusual swimming dolphin form trade sign. Featured in the furniture selection will be a pair of George II period Irish walnut chairs, a diminutive Philadelphia walnut Chippendale period chest, and an 18th c. Philadelphia piecrust edge swivel top tea table. There will be a large selection of Asian antiques, including: a 17th c. blanc de chine porcelain Guanyin figure, two Zhou dynasty bronze dings, and an ancient Chinese pottery stupa. A pair of 18th c. Scottish naval cannons will lead a selection of firearms, and there will be a group of fine bows and violins.
